Ilian Tape

With 126 cuts in rotation and an 8.5 average, Ilian Tape commands serious deck time. The roster—Skee Mask, Andrea, Marco Zenker, Forest Drive West, Imugem Orihasam and MPU101—sketches a landscape where dub techno, ambient, techno, drum n bass, electro and dubstep bleed together. The sound is deep, rolling and unhurried, privileging texture and low-end weight over obvious peaks.

This is not a purist’s outlet; the label’s strength lies in how comfortably it moves between swung D&B pressure, dubbed-out ambient passages and crisp electro frameworks. That versatility keeps it anchored at the deeper end of the underground, where a near-8.5 average feels earned rather than generous. For the Ninja, Ilian Tape is a reliable source of heavy, forward-thinking electronics.
