The Ninja on this record
I run this at 120 BPM and feel the room lock into its unhurried, relentless groove. The percussion is crisp, the bassline swells with cinematic dread, and the atmosphere is thick enough to taste. That energy level 9 is not chaos; it is tension, a sustained breath across sixteen bars as the melody coils around the beat like smoke.
In my sets, it sits at the pivot between deep house melancholy and minimal techno's skeletal precision. The 9A key keeps everything locked in shadow, so I save it for those 3 AM moments when the floor needs raw feeling, not just velocity. To me, it is the haunting, melodic weapon that captures everything I love about Poker Flat: sleek, sorrowful, and absolutely timeless.
