Shango Records

Shango Records stitches together a humid, cosmopolitan strand of electronic music. The imprint moves fluidly between deep house, tropical house, nu-disco, progressive breaks and deep techno. Valved, LODZIKOVSKY, Sonya Black, Hoani Teano, David Petros and Mass Stellar each colour the catalogue differently, yet a consistent late-night pulse ties their work together.

With an average Ninja score of 8.0 across eight tracks, the label clearly earns its keep in discerning crates. It occupies a sweet spot in the underground where breezy, accessible melodies meet the kinetic architecture of the club, never sacrificing depth for immediacy.
