The Ninja on this record
At 120 BPM, the pulse is steady but the energy level of 4 keeps everything clamped down and deliberate. The machine rhythms lock into a hypnotic grid, more automaton than human, with textures that feel precision-tooled rather than played. It is the sound of circuitry breathing in E minor, cold and methodical.
This is not a peak-time weapon; it is a bridge record, best deployed when the room needs tension without release. The minimal architecture leaves acres of space, turning the floor into a slow-motion assembly line. In a set, it functions as a reset—an austere, robotic palate cleanser that demands close listening even as it maintains the groove.
