The Ninja on this record
At 125 BPM, the groove refuses to hurry, settling into a low-slung minimal chug that lets the vocal hang in the air like vapour on warehouse walls. The 9A key keeps everything locked in a minor-key melancholy, while the energy level of 8 means the kick still punches through the haze without ever breaking the after-hours spell.
This is a five a.m. corridor record: lean enough to slip beneath more abrasive tools, yet atmospheric enough to hold a room when the lights are barely up. It belongs in that liminal pocket where the floor is sparse but locked, letting the vocal fragments do the emotional heavy lifting while the percussion merely breathes.
