The kinetic charge is deceptive: locked at 118bpm yet burning at a 9 energy, it channels a pressure-cooked leftfield strain that never fully surrenders to the dancefloor. Kate Fleur Young’s vocal cuts the Mesh haze like a searchlight, grounding the experimental electronics in something almost pop-adjacent—hooky, but coated in frost that keeps sentimentality at bay. The 3B key lends a metallic brightness to the synthwork, while the rhythm stalks with a syncopated patience that feels more warehouse ritual than club routine.
In a set, this is the bridging weapon—too restless for a warm-up, too weird for peak-time conformity, yet impossible to ignore. It builds a room within a room, draping atmospherics over a frame that insists on movement. I’d slot it after something skeletal and before the chaos, letting its emotive ghosts do the heavy lifting without dropping a cheesy anthemic hand.
