The Ninja on this record
At 125 BPM in F# major, this cut hits with a mechanical yet quirky swagger that feels less like a factory line and more like a backroom confessional. The energy is pegged at nine, but it channels that voltage into warm, leftfield house rather than brute force—syncopated percussion and rubbery basslines creating a groove that demands movement without sacrificing its oddball charm.
In the mix, it occupies that sweet after-hours spot where the floor is loose enough to handle wonky flourishes but still locked into a driving pulse. The texture is invitingly rough around the edges, building a room that feels intimate yet propulsive—perfect for sliding in when you need personality to carry the 4am stretch.
