The Ninja on this record
This is the record I reach for when the floor needs a proper stress test: the breaks snap hard at 143 BPM, each hi-hat and rimshot placed with a sadist’s precision. The energy hits an immediate eight-out-of-ten jolt, yet the groove never fully relents, riding a tightrope between UK steppers pressure and something more skeletal and new.
Locked in 12A, the low end carries a cold, metallic minor-key sheen that feels perfectly at home in a blacked-out room thick with humidity. I would slot it in as a peak-time weapon when the crowd is already leaning forward, demanding percussion that thinks two moves ahead.
