At 146 BPM in 12B, this thing barrels forward with the relentless kinetic charge you'd expect from peak-time psy-trance, yet Nocow's signature leftfield melancholy keeps it from becoming mere utility. The energy registers at a near-maximum 9, but the 12B key centre and that distinctive post-Soviet sound design carve out a surprisingly sombre interior, wrapping the kick drum's pneumatic thrust in layers of brittle, emotive texture.
It is the sort of record that belongs in the late-hour ascendancy of a set, when the floor is already locked in and you need something propulsive that still carries narrative weight. Rather than blinding euphoria, it offers a driven, teary-eyed momentum—functional for big rooms, but possessed of a loneliness that lingers after the strobe cuts out.
