I hear the kick lock in at 122bpm with the metronomic patience of a 4am floor, each downstroke weighted to keep bodies swaying without shock. To my ears, there is a sleek, almost utilitarian sheen to the synthwork—melodic enough to catch the ear, but never so insistent that it distracts from the pulse. At energy level nine, the track burns with a contained urgency; it is dark, minor-key motion that knows exactly how long to hold a phrase before the next riser.
I would call it a workhorse record, best slotted into the hypnotic stretch after midnight when distinction matters less than momentum. I won’t remember the colour of the breakdown, but I will remember that the room kept moving. For DJs like me, that reliability is its own reward: a solid bridge between peaks that does exactly what it promises on the label.
