The Ninja on this record
Voltique keeps the tempo anchored at a deliberate 118 BPM, yet the energy reading hits a full ten, so the track pulses with an unexpected voltage for the downtempo aisle. In key 2A, those melodic lines unfold with a warm, nocturnal glow—less lullaby, more after-hours confession—while the groove digs in deep enough to keep bodies moving without ever breaking into a sprint.
It is the kind of record that makes sense at four in the morning when the room is thinning but the faithful remain; Parquet’s pedigree for deep, melodic storytelling is audible in every layered swell. I would slot this between something more subdued and a peak-time juggernaut, letting its restrained intensity act as a pressure valve that still insists on attention.
